NEWS
December 22, 2005. - After several months of turning down tryouts, GGG has once again opened up slots for new members. We have already recruited three players, but we will continue to accept tryout requests as they come in the near future.
A new website will soon be in the works to streamline the code and give everything a fresh look. Biz.ly autogenerated pages get old after a while and can be a pain to edit.
One of our members, Fubar, now has administrative privileges on the server, so you may contact him as well as UnholyGemini or myself if a player is being disruptive.
Also, the MOTD has been redesigned, along with the addition of a few common sense rules meant to keep the chaos at a minimum. Please take the time to read them before entering the match.

FEATURED FILE
The Featured File I show you today is an online multiplayer Half-Life 2 mod called Dystopia. Unlike Garry's Mod, the last Featured File, Dystopia is a "total conversion mod", or a mod which completely changes the way the game looks and plays, making the mod an entirely new game in itself. Here is a description of Dystopia straight from the official website:
Dystopia is a Half-Life 2 modifcation which places the player into tense combat situations in a high tech world spanned by computer networks. As either Punks or Corp Mercenaries the player will fight through the physical world to gain access, via jack-in terminals, to cyberspace. Cyberspace is a three dimensional representation of the world's network. Inside cyberspace players will launch programs to hack into systems linked to the physical world, fight off enemy hackers or defend critical systems. Gameplay progresses through inter-linked physical and cyberspace objectives, some are completed in either the physical world or cyberspace, others only by a well timed combination of the two. The player will be immersed in action packed battles, whether as a heavily augmented combat mercenary armed to the teeth with the latest in firepower and implants, or a twitch reflex cyberdecker racing to infiltrate a cyberspace node. Only through skillful use of the high tech arsenal we're making available and intelligent team play will players truly jack-in and kick ass.

SOUNDS FROM THE SERVER
This is our newest addition to the site. The idea behind it is to record gameplay sounds and microphone chat in the server when something funny or interesting happens at GGG.
This first file is a clip from a 10-minute recording on Friday, February 3rd. One of our clan members, Jay, recently set up his microphone and was having some fun with the setup. Suffice it to say he found it a liberating experience, and another way to vent at me while I'm lagging around the map.
